About the Program

COLLAGE – Through Collaborative Solutions

COLLAGE is a climate change adaptation education initiative in Armenia that brings together community experience, scientific knowledge, and sectoral collaboration. The program promotes sustainable development by focusing on effective management and education in the areas of water, soil, forests, and agriculture.

Technologies and Innovation

We use advanced digital tools and models for climate risk assessment, spatial analysis, and the development of sustainable solutions.

Challenges and Results

Sustainable Progress

Around 99% of the identified challenges have been successfully addressed, enhancing community resilience and contributing to the sustainable management of natural resources.

Agroecological Integration

Challenge:
The use of crop varieties unsuitable for local soil and climate conditions led to low yields and inefficient use of resources.

Solution:
We conducted an agroecological assessment and introduced climate-resilient crop varieties adapted to the local environment, ensuring stable and sustainable yields.

Անտառային ռեաբիլիտացիա

Challenge:
Deforestation and poor management practices were threatening biodiversity and natural resources.

Solution:
We implemented forest restoration programs, including the planting of native species, community-based forest management, and reduction of wildfire risks.

Ջրային տնտեսություն

Challenge:
Inefficient irrigation systems and water loss were disrupting agricultural production.

Solution:
We introduced water-saving technologies—such as drip irrigation, localized reservoirs, and water monitoring systems—with active community involvement.
